S.T.O.P. Program

The S.T.O.P. Program is for IEP students only and is intended to be used for those students in lieu of suspension. It is considered an alternative short term placement (Short Term Optional Placement) for those students whose behavior(s) have violated school conduct and are in need of a consequence other than out of school suspension.

It is NOT a program for credit recovery nor for those students who have minor behavior(s) such as not turning in homework; not having enough points or credits; being excessively tardy; being excessively absent, etc.

S.T.O.P. is only for those students who have violent & offensive behaviors and is intended to be used only for a short term in-school alternative setting.

An Incidence Report MUST accompany the required S.T.O.P. Documentation for Attending EACH series of times a student comes to the S.T.O.P. program for our documentation purposes.

We will send a report to each sending District at end of each semester showing who and why your students were placed in an alternate (in-school) setting for your documentation .

The S.T.O.P. Coordinator is Shane Johnson. If you have any questions, please call him at 918-225-5600.
